Dr. Karen Matevosyan is a prominent Armenian art historian and professor who serves as a leading scholar and department head at the Matenadaran in Yerevan. He has authored over 25 books and more than 115 scientific articles focusing extensively on the history, architecture, scriptoriums, and mural paintings of medieval Armenia. Considered a foremost specialist on the medieval capital of Ani, his landmark monographs, such as Ani and the People of Ani, document the endangered cultural heritage and urban life of the region. Throughout his career, Dr. Matevosyan has also shared his expertise by teaching at the Gevorgian Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Armenian State Pedagogical University.
Դոկտոր Կարեն Մաթևոսյանը հայտնի հայ արվեստաբան է, ով աշխատում է որպես առաջատար գիտաշխատող և բաժնի վարիչ Երևանի Մատենադարանում։ Նա հեղինակել է ավելի քան 25 գիրք և 115 գիտական հոդված՝ նվիրված միջնադարյան Հայաստանի պատմությանը, ճարտարապետությանն ու որմնանկարչությանը։ Համարվելով Անի մայրաքաղաքի առաջատար մասնագետ՝ նրա նշանավոր մենագրությունները, ինչպիսին է «Անին և անեցիները» աշխատությունը, փաստագրում են տարածաշրջանի վտանգված մշակութային ժառանգությունը։ Դոկտոր Մաթևոսյանը նաև երկար տարիներ դասավանդել է Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի Գևորգյան հոգևոր ճեմարանում և ՀՊՄՀ-ում։
