Author Jennie Garabedian is a first-generation American whose family survived the genocide of 1915. She has traveled extensively to historic Armenian homelands, where she led groups to discover the villages and cities of their families’ origins.

Jennifer Salmassian
Jennifer Salmassian, born in California in 1976, grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles. She worked in various fields of education as she completed her BA and teaching credential in History and a MA in Education. Combining her love of education with art and poetry that was inspired from having her own children, Jennifer took a chance with an independent project and started Sally the Cat Publishing in 2006. Since then, SCP has published over 15 titles, which include her own work and those of various authors, illustrators and organizations. Today, she tours schools, reaching out to children about the importance of reading, writing and staying creative as she shares her unique stories with them.
