Kessab is an Armenian-populated area in Syria. The locals speak the Kessab Armenian dialect This work includes the names of plants and fruits in the Kessab dialect Each entry includes the Latin name, the Armenian equivalent, a description of the origin (etymology,) of the dialectal name, and the ethnographic value in the local environment, such as its use as food, animal feed, building material, medicine, ornament, etc. The book also examines the plants in beliefs and folklore. The photos are taken from the same environment. The book contains separate lists of titles and equivalent Latin names of plants. Քեսապը Սոսփոյ մէջ գտնուող հայաբնակ շրջան մըն է: Տեղւոյն բնակիչները կը խօսին Քեսապի հայերէն բարբառով: Աշխատութիւնը կընդգրկէ Քեսապի բարբառի բուսանուններն ու պտղանունները: Բարբառային գլխաբառը ներկայացուած է լատին անունով, հայերէն համարժէքով, բարբառային անուան ծագմամբ, բոյսի նկարագրութեամբ եւ ազգագրական այդ միջավայրին մէջ ունեցած արժէքով՝ իբրեւ ուտելիք, անասնակեր, շինանիւթ, դեղամիջոց, զարդաբոյս եւ այլն: Աշխատութիւնը կ’անդրադառնայ նաեւ ժողովրդական հաւատալիքներու եւ բանահիւսութեան մէջ տուեալ բոյսի արձագանգներուն: Լուսանկարները առնուած են նոյն միջավայրէն: Գիրքը ունի գլխաբառերու եւ համարժէք լատին բուսանուններու առանձին ցանկեր եւս: Նախատեսուած է բարբառագէտներուն, բուսաբաններուն, ազգագրագէւոներուն եւ բանագէտ ներուն համար:
