Vakhtang Ananyan (1905–1980) was a prominent Armenian prose writer, journalist, and editor, best known for his adventure novels for children and youth, as well as his stories about nature. Born in the village of Poghoskilisa in the Shamshadin region (now Tavush Province), he spent his childhood surrounded by forests, which deeply inspired his subsequent creative life. Within his literary heritage, a special place is held by his novels On the Shores of Sevan and The Prisoners of Hovazadzor, as well as his multi-volume work The Animal World of Armenia. In these works, the author skillfully intertwines his first-hand experiences as a hunter, his profound knowledge of Armenia's geography, and his boundless love for wildlife. Ananyan's works have been translated into numerous languages, passing down a vital message to generations about the importance of recognizing and preserving native nature.
Վախթանգ Անանյանը (1905–1980) հայ նշանավոր արձակագիր, լրագրող և խմբագիր է, ով առավելապես հայտնի է մանկապատանեկան արկածային վեպերով և բնության մասին պատմվածքներով։ Ծնվելով Շամշադինի (այժմ՝ Տավուշի մարզ) Պողոսքիլիսա գյուղում՝ նա իր մանկությունն անցկացրել է անտառների գրկում, ինչն էլ մեծապես ներշնչել է նրա հետագա ստեղծագործական կյանքը։ Նրա գրական ժառանգության մեջ առանձնահատուկ տեղ են գրավում «Սևանի ափին» և «Հովազաձորի գերիները» վեպերը, ինչպես նաև «Հայաստանի կենդանական աշխարհը» բազմահատոր աշխատությունը, որտեղ հեղինակը հմտորեն միահյուսում է որսորդական ականատեսի փորձը, Հայաստանի աշխարհագրության խորը գիտակումն ու կենդանական աշխարհի հանդեպ տածած անսահման սերը։ Անանյանի երկերը թարգմանվել են բազմաթիվ լեզուներով՝ սերունդներին փոխանցելով հայրենի բնությունը պահպանելու և ճանաչելու կարևոր պատգամը։
