Nikoghos Sarafian (1902–1972) was a renowned Armenian diasporan poet, prose writer, and critic who is considered one of the most influential and avant-garde figures of the generation behind the Paris literary journal Menk. Born in Bulgaria and raised in Constantinople, he settled in Paris in 1923, where he created throughout his entire life. His literature, featuring notable collections such as Unirrigated Land and The Citadel, is free from traditional sentimentality and is distinguished by its philosophical depth and examination of the existential anxieties of the exiled human being. Sarafian brought a modern spirit to Western Armenian poetry, becoming one of the diaspora’s most original intellectuals.
Նիկողոս Սարաֆեան (1902–1972) սփիւռքահայ անուանի բանաստեղծ, արձակագիր եւ քննադատ է, որ կը համարուի Փարիզի «Մենք» գրական հանդէսի սերունդին ամենաազդեցիկ ու յառաջապահ դէմքերէն մէկը։ Ծնած է Պուլկարիա, մեծցած է Կոստանդնուպոլիս, իսկ 1923-ին հաստատուած է Փարիզ, ուր ստեղծագործած է իր ամբողջ կեանքը: Անոր գրականութիւնը, որուն յատկանշական գործերէն են «Անջրդի հող» եւ «Միջնաբերդ» ժողովածուները, զերծ է աւանդական լալկանութենէն եւ աչքի կը զարնէ իր փիլիսոփայական խորութեամբ ու տարագիր մարդուն գոյութենական տագնապներու քննութեամբ: Սարաֆեան արդիական շունչ պարգեւեց արեւմտահայ բանաստեղծութեան՝ դառնալով սփիւռքի ամենաինքնատիպ մտաւորականներէն մէկը:
