Agop Jack Hacikyan (1931–2015) was a prominent Canadian-Armenian scholar, novelist, and professor emeritus of English literature at the Royal Military College of Canada. Born in Istanbul, he immigrated to Canada in 1957, later earning a Ph.D. from the Université de Montréal. He achieved international acclaim as the co-author and driving force behind The Heritage of Armenian Literature, a monumental three-volume anthology that stands as the definitive English-language compilation of Armenian literary history. Hacikyan was also a prolific historical novelist, penning celebrated works such as A Summer Without Dawn and The Battle of the Prophets, which brought the Armenian diaspora experience to global audiences.
