Tamar Kassarjian is a proud South Florida native, where she was raised in a small, tight-knit Armenian community. Her cultural identity has been an integral part of her life from a young age, manifesting itself through her involvement in Armenian dance, various cultural organizations, and more. As years passed, Tamar always sought out resources that showcased diverse and inclusive characters that resonated with her own experiences. Her passion for her Armenian heritage grew deeper as she embraced a range of leadership roles within her community and abroad. In recent years, taking on a teaching position at the Armenian school became a catalyst for this passion project. As our communities have become more multicultural and multilingual, our children now more than ever have to be given the opportunity to relate to Armenian literature in a fun and unique manner. It became more evident that language preservation was of the utmost importance. With this book, Tamar aims to inspire and empower young readers to explore their rich Armenian heritage and utilize their beautiful unique language.
