Valentin Savvich Pikul was a Soviet historical novelist of Ukrainian-Russian heritage. He lived and worked in Riga. Pikul’s novels were grounded in extensive research, blending historical and fictional characters and often focusing on Russian nationalistic themes.

Hayk Ajapahyan was born on September 17, 1987, in Yerevan, and is a descendant of the ancient Ajapahyan princely dynasty of Cilician Armenia. He is a contemporary Armenian writer, publisher, and businessman, widely recognized by the public as the founder of the “NOR Bookstore” chain, the “DaVinci” brand, and the publishing house of the same name. Ajapahyan has gained significant recognition particularly in the field of children’s and adventure literature, authoring a number of popular books beloved by young readers, including The Magic Library, The Magic of Egypt, The Red Planet, Yerevan of the 90s, The Miracle of New Year, and The Last Path. After graduating from the State Engineering University of Armenia in 2010, he directed his activities toward developing Armenian book publishing, educating the new generation, and encouraging reading.

Հայկ Աջապահյանը ծնվել է 1987 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 17-ին Երևանում՝ Կիլիկյան Հայաստանի հնամենի Աջապահյան իշխանական տոհմի շառավղում։ Նա ժամանակակից հայ գրող է, հրատարակիչ և գործարար, ով հանրությանը հայտնի է որպես «ՆՈՐ Գրախանութ» ցանցի, «ԴաՎինչի» ապրանքանիշի ու նույնանուն հրատարակչության հիմնադիր։ Աջապահյանը մեծ ճանաչում է ձեռք բերել հատկապես մանկական և արկածային գրականության ոլորտում՝ հեղինակելով փոքրիկների կողմից սիրված մի շարք հայտնի գրքեր, այդ թվում՝ «Կախարդական գրադարանը», «Եգիպտոսի կախարդանքը», «Կարմիր Մոլորակը», «90-ականների Երևանը», «Ամանորի հրաշքը» և «Վերջին ճանապարհը» ստեղծագործությունները։ 2010 թվականին ավարտելով Հայաստանի պետական ճարտարագիտական համալսարանը՝ նա իր գործունեությունը նպատակաուղղել է հայկական գրատպության զարգացմանը, նոր սերնդի կրթությանն ու ընթերցանության խրասուսմանը։
