Varak Kaloustian

Varak Kaloustian is fifteen years old in his freshman year of high school. He lives in Los Angeles, California with his mom, dad, and two brother.  He likes to play basketball, travel, and spend time with his friends and family.  This is his debut novel.

Vahram Mavian

Vahram Mavian (1926–1983) was a prominent diaspora Armenian prose writer, poet, and public figure. Born in Jerusalem, he spent the final period of his life in Lisbon heading the Armenian Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Mavian is considered one of the most unique voices of diaspora Armenian literature; in his famous works, such as the collections Fragments of Armenians and Flappings of Longing, he depicts the struggle for identity preservation and the longing for the homeland among the Armenian diaspora with subtle psychology.

Վահրամ Մավեան (1926–1983) սփիւռքահայ անուանի արձակագիր, բանաստեղծ եւ հանրային գործիչ է: Ծնած է Երուսաղէմ, իսկ կեանքի վերջին շրջանին Լիզպոնի մէջ ղեկավարած է Գալուստ Կիւլպէնկեան հիմնարկութեան հայկական բաժանմունքը: Մավեան սփիւռքահայ գրականութեան ամենաինքնատիպ ձայներէն է. իր հռչակաւոր գործերուն մէջ, ինչպէս՝ «Հայու բեկորներ» եւ «Կարօտի թեւաբախումներ» ժողովածուներուն մէջ, ան նուրբ հոգեբանութեամբ կը պատկերէ սփիւռքահայութեան ինքնութեան պահպանման տագնապն ու հայրենիքի կարօտը։
