Antranig Dzarugian (1913–1989) was a renowned Diaspora Armenian writer, poet, prose stylist, and editor who, through his literary work, became one of the most poignant voices capturing the psychological state and national memory of the generation orphaned by the Genocide. Born in Agn, he spent his childhood in the orphanages of Aleppo following the horrors of the Great Crime, and later studied at the Hamazkayin Nishan Palandjian College in Beirut under the tutelage of Levon Shant and Nikol Aghbalian. His most famous and beloved work is the autobiographical novella People Without a Childhood, which movingly depicts the bitterness of orphanage life, while his poem Letter to Yerevan reflects the complex and emotional relationship between the Diaspora and the homeland. For many years, Dzarugian founded and edited the literary periodical Nairi, published first in Aleppo and later in Beirut, becoming a central figure in Diaspora Armenian cultural life who continuously fought for the preservation of Armenian identity and the purity of the Armenian language.

Անդրանիկ Ծառուկեան (1913–1989) սփիւռքահայ հռչակաւոր գրող, բանաստեղծ, արձակագիր եւ խմբագիր էր, որ իր գրական գործունէութեամբ դարձաւ Եղեռնէն ետք որբացած սերունդի հոգեվիճակին ու ազգային յուշին ամենացնցող արտայայտիչներէն մէկը։ Ծնած է Ակն, սակայն Մեծ Եղեռնի արհաւիրքէն ետք մանկութիւնը անցուցած է Հալէպի որբանոցներուն մէջ, իսկ աւելի ուշ ուսանած է Պէյրութի Համազգայինի Նշան Փալանճեան Ճեմարանին մէջ՝ աշակերտելով Լեւոն Շանթի եւ Նիկոլ Աղբալեանի։ Անոր ամենայայտնի ու սիրուած գործը՝ Մանկութիւն Չունեցող Մարդիկ ինքնակենսագրական վիպակն է, որ սրտառուչ կերպով կը պատկերէ որբանոցային կեանքի դառնութիւնները, իսկ Թուղթ առ Երեւան պոէմը կը հանդիսանայ սփիւռք-հայրենիք բարդ ու յուզական յարաբերութիւններու արտացոլումը։ Ծառուկեան երկար տարիներ հիմնադրած ու խմբագրած է Հալէպի, ապա Պէյրութի մէջ հրատարակուող Նայիրի գրական պարբերականը՝ դառնալով սփիւռքահայ մշակութային կեանքի կեդրոնական դէմքերէն մէկը, որ անդադար պայքարեցաւ հայապահպանման եւ հայ լեզուի անաղարտութեան համար։

Dr. Antranik Dakessian is a prominent Lebanese-Armenian scholar, author, and associate professor in the Department of Armenian Studies at Haigazian University in Beirut, Lebanon. He is best known for his academic leadership in preserving Armenian cultural heritage and documenting the history, socio-economic output, and integration of Armenian diaspora communities across the Middle East.

Տօքթ. Անդրանիկ Տաքեսեան լիբանանահայ ականաւոր գիտնական, հեղինակ եւ ընկերակից փրոֆեսէօր է Պէյրութի (Լիբանան) Հայկազեան Համալսարանի Հայագիտական Ամբիոնին մէջ։ Ան առաւելաբար ճանչցուած է իր ակադեմական առաջնորդութեամբ՝ հայկական մշակութային ժառանգութեան պահպանման, ինչպէս նաեւ Միջին Արեւելքի տարածքին հայկական սփիւռքի համայնքներու պատմութեան, ընկերա-տնտեսական վասնցումին եւ համարկման արձանագրութեան գործին մէջ։
