Yvette Hovsepian-Bearce is a Middle East scholar and researcher specializing on the role of Iran in contemporary world politics, and is a fellow at the Center for the Middle East Development at the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned a B.A. in Business, a Masters in Theology, and a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies. Using her linguistic expertise in several Middle Eastern and European language, she provides consulting services to various state and federal judiciaries.

Kochar’s work is very varied, for he worked equally well in the spheres of sculpture, painting and graphic art. In the square by the station in Yerevan stands his superb monument to David of Sasoun, hero of the Armenian literary epic. Kochar was born in Tiflis and studied in Moscow, and then spent 15 years living and working in Paris, from the early 1920s.
