Dickran Kouymjian occupies the Haig and Isabel Berberian Chair of Armenian Studies at California State University, Fresno. A noted authority on Armenian life and culture, he has written many books on the subject and has taught courses on Saroyan at universities in France and Russia as well as in the United States. He is also the editor of An Armenian Trilogy, Volume One of his projected William Saroyan Theater series.
