Ghazaros Aghayan, born in Bolnis-Khachen in Georgia, was an outstanding Armenian writer, teacher and public figure. Ghazaros Aghayan has translated compositions of Pushkin Aleksandr Sergeevich and Krylov Ivan Andreevich. Aghayan was an Armenian teacher who supported the democratization of education. He demanded clearing schools from the influence of clergy and transfering power to the hands of the people. He has written textbooks on the Armenian language and works on education.
