Vera Sisserian is a well-known Lebanese-Armenian children’s author, psychologist, and lecturer who has been active in Beirut for many years. She studied and taught at Haigazian University and also served as the founding president of the social-educational organization Oghak. As a children’s author, she has made significant contributions to the creation of illustrated books in accessible Western Armenian for the diaspora. Among her beloved works are the children’s stories Aram’s Garden, The First Day, Grandfather’s Gift, and Kikako.
Վերա Սիսեռեան լիբանանահայ ճանչցուած մանկագիր, հոգեբան եւ դասախօս է, որ երկար տարիներ կը գործէ Պէյրութի մէջ։ Ան ուսանած եւ դասաւանդած է Հայկազեան Համալսարանին մէջ, ինչպէս նաեւ հանդիսացած է սոցիալ-կրթական «Օղակ» կազմակերպութեան հիմնադիր նախագահը։ Իբրեւ մանկագիր՝ ան մեծ ներդրում ունի սփիւռքի մէջ մատչելի արեւմտահայերէնով պատկերազարդ գիրքերու պատրաստութեան մէջ։ Իր սիրուած գործերէն են «Արամին Պարտէզը», «Առաջին Օրը», «Մեծ Հայրիկին Նուէրը» եւ «Կիկակօ» մանկական պատմուածքները։
