Kevork George Abelian (1941–2011) was a well-known Diaspora Armenian prose writer, publicist, humorist, and public-educational figure. He was born in the Armenian-populated village of Keorkuna in Kessab, Syria, graduated from Haigazian College in Beirut, and worked for many years in the Armenian town of Anjar, Lebanon. In the literary world, he was also known by the pen name “Dziunakan,” and in his works and novels, he dedicated significant space to the history and traditions of his native Kessab, as well as vital issues of preserving Armenian identity. After his death, in honor of his merit, the “Kevork (George) Abelian” Library was opened in Anjar.
Գէորգ Ճորճ Աբէլեանը (1941–2011) սփիւռքահայ ճանաչուած արձակագիր, հրապարակախօս, երգիծաբան եւ հասարակական-կրթական գործիչ է։ Ան ծնած է Սուրիոյ հայահոծ Քեսապի Քէօրքիւնա գիւղը, աւարտած Պէյրութի Հայկազեան գոլէճը եւ երկար տարիներ պաշտօնավարած Լիբանանի Այնճար հայաւանին մէջ։ Գրական աշխարհին մէջ յայտնի է նաեւ «Ձիւնական» գրչանունով, իսկ իր ստեղծագործութիւններուն ու վէպերուն մէջ մեծ տեղ յատկացուցած է հայրենի Քեսապի պատմութեան, աւանդութիւններուն եւ հայապահպանման կենսական հարցերուն։ Իր մահէն ետք, ի պատիւ անոր վաստակին, Այնճարի մէջ բացուած է «Գէորգ (Ճորճ) Աբէլեան» գրադարանը։
