Hilda Tourians was born and raised in Tehran, the capital of Iran, where she attended the Koushesh Mariamian School. Due to the revolution, she moved to the Boston area of the United States at a young age. After earning a higher education in the field of computer science and reaching professional heights for decades, she retired and began her creative work. Having written the story-fairytale ‘The Luminous Butterfly’ in English, she decided to publish it first in Armenian translation as a tribute to her past and to her grandmother, Arevaluys Toroyan, serving as an eternal dedication of gratitude to the unbroken spirit of her ancestors and the unquenchable light of optimism. The work tells a story about the exceptional light that each of us carries within, though only a few manage to discover it and keep it burning.
Հիլդա Թորոյանը ծնվել եւ մեծացել է Իրանի մայրաքաղաք Թեհրանում, որտեղ հաճախել է Քուշեշ Մարիամյան դպրոց: Հեղափոխության պատճառով երիտասարդ տարիքում տեղափոխվում է Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգներ Բոստոնի շրջան: Բարձրագույն կրթություն ստանալով համակարգչային գիտության ոլորտում, տասնամյակներ շարունակ մասնագիտության մեջ բարձունքների հասնելուց հետո, անցնում է թոշակի եւ սկսում ստեղծագործել: «Լուսատու թիթեռը» պատմվածք-հեքիաթը գրելով անգլերեն լեզվով, որոշել է նախ հրատարակել հայերեն թարգմանությամբ որպես հարգանքի տուրք իր անցյալին եւ տատիկին Արեւալույս Թորոեանին, որպես հավերժ երախտիքի ձոն իր նախնիների անկոտրում ոգուն եւ լավատեսության անմար լույսին: Ստեղծագործությունը պատմում է այն բացառիկ լույսի մասին, որը յուրաքանչյուրս կրում ենք մեր ներսում, սակայն միայն եզակիներին է հաջողվում այն բացահայտելու պահել անմար:
