Gh. Jirair (1937–1991), the pen name of Jirair Gharibian, was a prominent Armenian-American author, journalist, and cultural pioneer who served as a vital intellectual pillar for the diaspora community in Boston, Massachusetts. For over a decade, he connected generations of Armenian Americans as the founder and director of the Independent Armenian Radio Hour of Boston, utilizing his platform to interview global figures and preserve native traditions. Alongside his broadcast career, Gharibian was a deeply sensitive writer of Western Armenian verse and lyrical prose, reflecting extensively on themes of existential isolation, identity, and an aching longing for the homeland. Following his sudden passing, his creative legacy was lovingly compiled by his family and preserved through the posthumous publications of his major collections, Blue Pages (1993) and Conversations in Solitude.
Ղ. Ժիրայր (1937–1991), աւազանի անունով՝ Ժիրայր Ղարիբեան, ամերիկահայ ճանաչուած գրող, լրագրող եւ մշակութային գործիչ մըն էր, որ եղաւ Մասաչուսեց նահանգի Պոսթըն քաղաքի սփիւռքահայ համայնքի մտաւորական կարեւոր սիւներէն մէկը։ Աւելի քան տասնամեակ մը ան միաւորեց ամերիկահայ սերունդները իբրեւ Պոսթընի «Անկախ հայկական ձայնասփիւռի ժամ»-ի հիմնադիր ու տնօրէն՝ գործածելով իր հարթակը համաշխարհային դէմքերու հետ հարցազրոյցներ վարելու եւ ազգային աւանդութիւնները պահպանելու համար։ Հաղորդավարական ասպարէզին զուգահեռ, Ղարիբեան արեւմտահայ քերթողութեան եւ քնարական արձակի խորազգաց հեղինակ էր, որ իր գործերուն մէջ լայնօրէն կ՚արծարծէր գոյապաշտական մեկուսացման, ինքնութեան եւ հայրենիքի անհուն կարօտի նիւթերը։ Անոր անակնկալ մահէն ետք, իր ստեղծագործական ժառանգութիւնը սիրով համախմբուեցաւ ընտանիքին կողմէ եւ յաւերժացաւ իր գլխաւոր հատորներու յետմահու հրատարակութեամբ, ինչպէս են՝ «Կապոյտ էջեր» (1993) եւ «Մենութեան մէջ զրոյցներ» գիրքերը։
