Krikor Beledian is a prominent diaspora Armenian poet, novelist, essayist, and literary critic widely regarded as a central pillar of contemporary Armenian literature. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1945, he grew up in a vibrant cultural environment shaped by refugees of the Armenian Genocide before relocating to Paris in 1967. He completed his doctorate in philosophy at the Sorbonne University and spent decades teaching Armenian language and literature at institutions like INALCO in Paris and the Catholic University of Lyon. With an avant-garde style influenced by existentialism and poststructuralism, Beledian has authored more than 30 volumes spanning poetry, experimental prose, and literary history. Crucially, he writes almost exclusively in Western Armenian—a UN-designated endangered language—using his complex, multi-layered texts to explore themes of displacement, historical trauma, memory, and linguistic identity.
Գրիգոր Պըլտեան սփիւռքահայ անուանի բանաստեղծ, վիպագիր, փորձագիր եւ գրական քննադատ է, որ լայնօրէն կը նկատուի արդի հայ գրականութեան կեդրոնական սիւներէն մէկը։ Ծնած ըլլալով Պէյրութ (Լիբանան) 1945-ին, ան մեծցած է Հայոց Ցեղասպանութեան գաղթականներուն կողմէ ստեղծուած կենսունակ մշակութային միջավայրի մը մէջ, նախքան 1967-ին Փարիզ հաստատուիլը։ Ան փիլիսոփայութեան տոքթորան աւարտած է Սորպոնի համալսարանին մէջ եւ տասնամեակներ շարունակ հայոց լեզու եւ գրականութիւն դասաւանդած է այնպիսի հաստատութիւններու մէջ, ինչպիսիք են Փարիզի INALCO-ն եւ Լիոնի Կաթողիկէ համալսարանը։ Յառաջապահ (avant-garde) ոճով մը, որ կրած է գոյապաշտութեան (existentialism) եւ յետ-կառուցողականութեան (poststructuralism) ազդեցութիւնը, Պըլտեան հեղինակած է աւելի քան 30 հատորներ՝ ընդգրկելով բանաստեղծութիւն, փորձարարական արձակ եւ գրականութեան պատմութիւն։ Յատկանշական է, որ ան կը գրէ գրեթէ բացառապէս արեւմտահայերէնով, որ ՄԱԿ-ի (UN) կողմէ յայտարարուած է վտանգուած լեզու, եւ իր բարդ ու բազմաշերտ բնագիրներուն միջոցով կը քննարկէ տեղահանութեան, պատմական ցնցումի (trauma), յիշողութեան եւ լեզուական ինքնութեան թեմաները:
Khatchig Mouradian is a Lebanese-born Armenian historian and author specializing in the late Ottoman Empire, mass violence, and the Middle East. Currently a lecturer at Columbia University and an area specialist at the Library of Congress, his academic work is heavily influenced by his upbringing in Beirut. He holds a doctorate from Clark University and previously edited The Armenian Weekly. Mouradian is recognized for his book, The Resistance Network: The Armenian Genocide and Humanitarianism in Ottoman Syria, 1915–1918, which highlights stories of humanitarian aid and civilian resistance. He is also an active editor of scholarly volumes focused on Ottoman history and Armenian resilience.
Khoren Aramouni Keshishyan is a writer, playwright, and translator. He was born in 1948 in Iran. Aramouni studied in the Armenian Studies department at the University of Isfahan for 2 years. In 1969, he repatriated to Armenia. He graduated from Yerevan State University in in 1975. In 1980, Aramouni emigrated to the United States. He has been published regularly in Armenian language newspapers and magazines in the U.S. and collaborated on television programs. He is founder of I-Ben printing and publishing. He was also the U.S. representative of the Armenia based, Garoun monthly literary magazine. Aramouni’s first full-length book, Posthumous Wedding, was published in Armenia in 1992. Since 2004, Aramouni has been a member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia. In 2014, he received the William Saroyan medal from the Armenian Ministry of Diaspora. He was awarded a medal for his literary accomplishments from the Writers’ Union of Armenia in 2018. Aramouni has been recognized for his writing by several state and local institutions in California. Aramouni has published 18 books. Seven of his plays have been staged in Armenia and the U.S. He currently resides in Glendale, California.
Խորեն Արամունի (Քեշիշյանը) արձակագիր, դրամատուրգ և թարգմանիչ է։ Ծնվել է 1948 թ․ Իրանում: Երկու տարի սովորել է Սպահանի համալսարանի հայագիտական բաժնում: 1969 թվականին հայրենադարձվել է: 1975 թվականին ավարտել է Երևանի Պետական Համալսարանի բանասիրական ֆակուլտետը։ 1980 թ. արտագաղթել է ԱՄՆ: Տպագրվել է ԱՄՆ-ի հայալեզու թերթերում և ամսագրերում։ Համագործակցել է «Հայաստան» հեռուստահաղորդումներին: Հիմնադրել է «ԱՅԲ-ԲԵՆ» հրատարակչությունը: 1994 թվի. եղել է «Գարուն» Ամսագրի ներկայացուցիչը ԱՄՆ-ում: 1992 թ. առաջին անգամ Հայաստանում լույս է տեսել նրա «Հետմահու հարսանիք» պատմվածքների ժողովածուն: 2004 թվականից Հայաստանի Գրողների Միության անդամ է: 2014 թ. Պարգևատրվել է ՀՀ սփյուռքի նախարարության «Վիլյամ Սարոյան» մեդալով: 2018 թ. Իր գրական վաստակի համար արժանացել է ՀԳՄ-ի մեդալին: Արժանացել է Կալիֆորնիայի սենատի, Լոս Անջելեսի գավառի և տարբեր քաղաքների ավելի քան տասնչորս պատվոգրերի: Հրատարակել 18 անուն գիրք, նրա ավելի քան յոթ պիեսները բեմադրվել են թե՛ Հայաստանում, թե՛ նրա սահմաններից դուրս։ ԱՄՆ-ի և Հայաստանի քաղաքացի է: Դեռ ողջ է․․․
