Description
The author, an Oxford Scholar and renowned Armenist, was well known among intellectual circles in his lifetime. Most of his scholarly works were published in European and American journals between 1888 and 1925.
Fr. Nersessian has rendered an immense service by bringing together about 100 of Conybeare's articles, grouped into eight categories: classical antiquity and ancient authors; the old testament and apocrypha; the new testament and apocrypha; patristics; hagiography; liturgy; Armenia and the Armenians; and medical science.
