Description
This Dictionary, in its way, is the first one among Armenian dictionaries, because: (a) it includes an equivalent lexicon of both Western and Eastern Armenian; (b) it is practical and is compiled following the methods of teaching Armenian as a second language as well; (c) it points the transcription of the words or forms when they may cause any difficulty to pronounce them; (d) it presents a solid stock of Armenian idiomatic expressions; (e) it is geared to American English; (f) it prompts to the specific government of the Armenian verbs; (g) it presents, in a condensed form, the specific grammatical systems of modern Armenian.Նկարագրութիւն
Այս Բառարանը իր տեսակին մէջ առաջինն է, որովհետեւ ա) միաժամանակ կընդգրկէ արեւմտահայերէն եւ արեւելահայերէն համարժէք բառագանձ մը, բ) գործնական է եւ շարադրուած հայերէնը իբր երկրորդ լեզու սորվեցնելու մեթոտներուն հետեւելով, գ) կը յիշէ կարդալու, արտասանելու տեսակէտէ քիչ շատ դժուարութիւն ներկայացնող բառերուն, ծեւերուն տառադարձութիւնը (transcription), դ) կ՚ամփոփէ դարձուածքներու (idiom) կոկիկ պաշար մը, ե) աատշաճեցուած է Ամերիկեան Անգլերէնի, զ) կը յուշէ հայերէն բայերուն հետ գործածելի մասնատր ձեւերը, է) համառօտ կը ներկայացնէ այսօրուան հայերէնի քերականութեան կարեւոր համակարգերը (արեւմտահայերէն եւ արեւելահայերէն)։
